Foran Grand Trunk's Poet Stout Kraut

(WJBK) - Get this recipe courtesy of the Foran's Grand Truck Pub in downtown Detroit.
Makes 25 generous servings
3 quarts sauerkraut
1 cup brown sugar
2 pints New Holland Brewing Company's The Poet Stout
Mix all together in a 4 quart pot.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.
The Grand Trunk Reuben
Butter and grill 2 slices of Avalon Dexter Rye bread. Top one of the slices of bread with Swiss cheese and melt. Warm 8 oz of Wigley's corned beef on the grill. (The corned beef is cooked and sliced in-house daily). Top one slice of the bread with the warm corned beef and garnish with the freshly cooked Poet Stout Kraut. Spread 1000 Russians Dressing on the other slice, and place on top. Garnish the plate with Better Made potato chips and enjoy!
